Grand Christmas Raffle

David Stephens Recovery Fund Grand Christmas Raffle is now on!  The raffle will be drawn on 22^nd December 2002 and tickets are $1.00 each.

Prizes are:
1^st Prize – Dinner at Friends Restaurant to a value of $150, including a return scenic limousine tour from St   Georges Limousine (total value $350)
2^nd Prize – 6 month membership to ZEST Health Club (total value $300)
3^rd Prize – Ladies watch by Dakota (total value $160)
4^th Prize – A bottle of Black Douglas including Decanter (total value $60)

These events just seem to keep getting better and better.  Thank you all so much for coming and making this night a huge success!  The quiz night was held at Newman College, Churchlands and the night was non-stop with quiz questions, raffles, prizes, sausage sizzle, auctions and heaps heaps more.  The total raised on the night was a whopping $5758.25 – what a fantastic effort!  Thank you to everyone that bought tickets, raffle tickets and auction items – again it wouldn’t have been a success without you.  See photos of the night in the photo album.

To the main organisers of the event: Nat, Stuart, Sandra and Stefan – all your hard work and many many meetings paid off – the night was a huge success.  Thank you for all your help and the many hours you put into it.  We promise you wont have to organise the next one!

Thank you also to all the helpers on the night: Stuart, Nat, Susan, Patricia, Sandra, Stefan, Simon, Kevin, Elise, Kylie, Helen, Peter (and anyone else I have forgotten to mention!)

Movie Night – My Big Fat Greek Wedding

What a success!  Thank you to all who supported and attended this wonderful night.  Over 250 tickets were sold to the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding which was held at the Cygnet Theatre in Como on Saturday 2^nd November.  The whole crowd was roaring with laughter throughout the movie – and laughter really is the best medicine!  See photos of the night at the photo album.

A big thank you to all the organisers of this event – To Amanda Stainthorpe for coming up with the idea and seeing it through to the end!  Which movie did you want to see Amanda – was it ‘My Big Greek Wedding’?  Thank you for all your help and organisation.  To Nat Pickett, Susan Marinelli and Stuart Bourn who also helped organise the night – thank you also.  To all those people who sold tickets and all those out there that bought tickets – it would not have been a success without you!  So a thank you to you!

 Chocolate Drive!
We have been selling Cadbury’s Chocolates since 1^st October 2002 and so far (the numbers keep rising) have sold a total of 140 boxes!!  That equates to 5,600 freddos and koalas sold!  What an effort in only a short space of time.  Thank you to everyone who has helped out with organising and selling of these yummy chocolates.

So far the total money raised from the Cadbury’s chocolate drive is: $2,800.00
